SPLUNK Developer

POSITION: Contract role until March 2021.
    COMMENCEMENT: As soon as possible.
      REQUIREMENTS:
      • 3+ years
      • Relevant qualification and experience
      • South African Citizens Only
      • Travel to Germany required (1 - 3 times x 1 - 3 weeks)
      • High proficiency of English language, German is a plus
      • Knowledge of maintenance and operations of applications
      • Knowledge of holistic software development toolchain (e.g. GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift )
      • Ability to administer Splunk clients
      • Knowledge of languages for Splunk App development (JavaScript, Perl, Python, XML, CSS etc.)
      • Knowledge of predictive analytics
      • Knowledge of applied algorithms and libraries in the field of pattern identification and prediction
      • Knowledge of data analysis in general
      • Knowledge of Splunk Machine Learning Toolkit
      • Knowledge of performance metrics analytics
      • Knowledge of programming languages used for data analysis and ML (e.g. Python, R, Dart, etc.)
      • Knowledge in the field of testing predictive systems
      • Working in a Linux environment
      • Ability to create complex Splunk dashboards
      • Knowledge of Splunk ITSI or MLTK
      • Knowledge of data analysis in general
      • Knowledge of Splunk Machine Learning Toolkit
      • Knowledge of performance metrics analytics
      RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Administration and operation of Splunk clients
      • - Ability to create complex Splunk queries and dashboards
      • - Knowledge in the cooperation of Splunk and external KI solutions (in the case of PRAIN currently KI Framework from Sulzer, development to Open Source solution)
      • - Knowledge of data analysis and correlation via LogFiles and metrics
      • - Knowledge of the creation of standard interfaces for obtaining new data sources (LogFiles etc.)
      • - Knowledge in the field of testing predictive systems
      • - Knowledge of standards and cooperation in the further development of these standards
      • - Maintenance and operating knowledge of applications including operating processes
      • - Working with agile methods especially SCRUM with tools like JIRA, Confluence and Bit bucket
      • Proactive communication with the departments involved
      • Willing to work in an international team
      • Must have good time management skills
      • Ability to work as part of an agile team, inter dependant as well
      • as independently and submit deliverables on time and in excellent quality
      • Must take ownership of an assigned task and see it through to completion
